art is risk

       it speaks, where others remain silent
art emerges on the threshold — between languages, systems, nations 
       it belongs to no nation, no ideology, no camp
art is often accused of proximity, but this proximity is to the people, not to a regime 
       malevich painted the zero point 
       shostakovich composed the conflict 
       currentzis seeks the unspoken between the notes
art must not submit
       art must remain free — especially when the freedom of art becomes inconvenient.
